Hair Loss Results

Preventing female hair loss can be difficult or simple - all depending on the form of hair loss that you are suffering from. There are a few options to consider that most people would not have even thought about before going to the expense of buying so called remedies that either do not work outright, or simply don't work for a particular form of Alopecia.

I wanted to outline the options available when you suffer from a condition like Alopecia. Prevention is better than a cure and, as those wise words swirl around in my head I see it as a good way to ensure that, if there are any ways to prevent female loss of hair, this article should do just that without forcing you to read a hundred pages of an encyclopedia. I have focused mainly on diet because that's where many people get stuck and it can be so easy to change.

Female Hair Loss Prevention - Are You The Only One?
Simple, No. Before you think that you are the only person in the world to be suffering with loss of hair, consider this - you currently make up over a quarter of the total people suffering with hair loss today (including men) so this condition is not strictly 'men only' and more people than you think are going through the same as you, or worse. If you are concerned you are suffering from female hair loss, then the best thing that you can do is seek out medical help. There are also lots of alternative medicines out there that claim to improve the condition once its started although starting early - at the first signs of balding or thinning - is the best advice anyone could give you.

First things first, your diet is the top priority. Get this right and you will be well on your way to, not only improving your hair loss condition but preventing any further damage to both your hair and your body.

Tips
1. Everyone knows this one - introduce five or more portions of different fruit or vegetables into your daily intake. In the United Kingdom, five portions are encouraged yet in America they encourage a person to eat nine or more portions every day.
2. Instead of that biscuit (or four) that you have with your morning coffee, have a banana.
3. Replace two cups of coffee or carbonated soft drink per day with a refreshing juice - you can buy a ready made one at the supermarket (look out for those stating the drink will fulfill one of your portions) or you can make your own before you leave for work. I really have to say Mango and strawberrys work well in a smoothie (with skimmed milk) and carrots work well as a juice.
4. Change your habits - when you eat out, ask for salad or a baked potato instead of fries.
5. Why are you eating that fast food? It might be cheap and tasty but think what is isn't doing for your hair and complexion. Try buying pitta breads, a bag of mixed salad, and some chicken (or any meat). If you really must have sauces then add Guacamole or Houmous - cheap, cheerful and tasty.
6. Stop having a whole bar of chocolate, have one piece then snack on seeds and a handful of nuts throughout your day.

I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea.

It may sound difficult if you are not used to eating well, but put your mind to it - grate some carrot into your soup and, instead of a white roll have yourself an apple for afterwards. It doesn't take any longer, it is inexpensive, but you are well on your way to consuming a balanced diet each day.

It is a known fact that hair loss in men and women can be caused by a severe lack of nutrition and this is not limited to those who choose not to eat or who suffer from a condition such as Anorexia. Those that are obesely overweight and choose to eat convenience foods full of sugar, salt and goodness knows what else will eventually see a massive change in the way their hair and complexions look. Hair will fall out simple because this is the way the body reacts to being abused.

Support for Hair Loss Sufferers Is Out There
Don't just take my word for it, ask your Doctor. The first thing they will check is your diet and how you treat yourself. They can recommend drugs if you need them (when your condition is a little more than diet itself) and any trusted health website can point you in the direction of extra help and advice. So go on, give it a try and you will feel and look great.
